HISTORY

We are a company involved in the distribution of quality sporting goods. We are an open and lean company focused on efficiency and bringing benefits to customers. Our distribution network covers the entire Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary (New Balance and Uvex). Long-term cooperation with the world’s leading manufacturers ensures that our company remains stable and continues to grow. Our customers include major retailers of cycling and general sporting goods. Our aim is to meet the needs of all customers to the maximum extent.

 

  • 1996

    Aspire Sports is founded with headquarters at Vídeňská 9, Brno. The first distributed brand is Uvex.

  • 1997

    The portfolio is extended with the brands Adidas (cycling), Karhu, Cober, Bolle and especially New Balance.

  • 1998

    The company moves to a new headquarters – Vídeňská 125, Brno.

  • 2000

    New brands distributed by Aspire: GT, Maxxis, De Marchi and Motorex, while co-operation with the Adidas (cycling) brand ends.

  • 2003

    Capacity insufficient, the company moves to a new headquarters – Karásek 11, Brno.
    Aspire is GT and New Balance´s distributor of the year.

  • 2005

    Starting spring 2005, our distribution portfolio is extended by the Mitre brand. Mitre is a traditional English manufacturer with a comprehensive portfolio of football footwear and footballs.
    From autumn this year, we begin to take another global sports brand into our fold with a very strong winter collection for skiing and snowboarding - Trespass.

  • 2006

    Koncem léta společnost ASPIRE SPORTS, s.r.o. mění image svého firemního loga.    
    At the end of this year, ASPIRE SPORTS, s.r.o. changes its company logo. Beginning September 2006, we extend our previous portfolio with new cycle brands - Mongoose and Schwinn. In taking this step, we become the distributor with the largest portfolio of imported bicycles in the CR.

  • 2007

    For the following 3 years, New Balance becomes General Partner for the Czech Triathlon Federation.

  • 2008

    At the beginning of the year, Aspire Sports becomes distributor for Austrian brand Kneissl, with whom however co-operation ends at the end of the year.

    For the 2008 spring season, Aspire introduces another cycle-wear brand to the market - Giordana.  
    In autumn, Aspire acquires exclusive representation for American brand Cannondale in Slovakia.

  • 2009

    In spring, Cannondale Sports Group announces a change in distributor for the Czech Republic. Distribution for the Cannondale brand in the Czech Republic passes from Vokolek Import s.r.o. to Aspire SPORTS s.r.o.
    At the end of summer, Aspire moves to new warehouses.

  • 2010

    The company is becoming the official distributor of Sugoi cycling clothing.

  • 2011

    In 2011, two more brands joined our company’s portfolio - Osprey cycling backpacks and Warrior.
